Who am I?
I have been working as a QA engineer for nearly two years now. During this time I have worked hard to level up in testing, completing a variety of certifications and working on automation projects in my own free time.
This site started as a project to improve my basic web development skills, I avoided the temptation of libraries, using only HTML, CSS, and vanilla Javascript.
Outside of work, I love to hike Munros, cook barbecue, and learn Russian.

What I have done
Turtle crossing
This Python turtle crossing game was a fun build. It helped to cement the fundamentals of Python for me, plus I am able to set the car speed to as low as I like!

A retro classic! Only downside of this game is that it requires two players to play using the keyboard, and I have a small keyboard! Built as part of a Python Udemy course.

Selenium Testing
Selenium with Python was my first foray into automation testing, and I learnt a lot whilst completing this Udemy course. I now have a base understanding of how to test modern web applications with Selenium, and I would be excited to develop these skills further.

A classic! I built this game in Python as part of a Udemy course, it was fun to recreate that NOKIA 3310 feeling!

Portfolio site
The most complex web development project I have completed so far, therefore it had to have a spot here! I decided at the outset to only build this site using HTML, CSS, and vanilla JS. During the build, I also learnt a lot about CI/CD, setting up github actions to automate deployments to my hosting provider.

CI/CD
I love making processes quicker, more efficient and easier for everyone to use. It would be awesome to work in a role where I can get hands on with CI/CD and help make this happen.
Automation
I would love to work more in an automated testing environment, using tools such as Cypress and Playwright.
Cyber-Security
Having achieved my Comptia Security, I have good understanding of cyber-security fundamentals, I would love to put these skills into practice.
Linux
I have used Linux in a personal capacity for a number of years now, I would be excited to use it in a professional capacity also.
